More Information on the workshop:
Where are the classes held?
The classes are held in two locations, in
Ames, Iowa and Moscow, Idaho. The Ames
workshops are held at the Biomass Energy
Conversion Center (BECON) of the Iowa
Energy Center. You can get a map to the
center by clicking on the "Map to BECON"
link below. The Moscow workshops are
held at the University Inn-Best Western at
1516 W. Pullman Road in Moscow, Idaho.
How do I get to the class and
where do I stay?
For the Ames workshops:
The lecture portion of the classes will be held at the Country Inn
and Suites in Ames. A shuttle will be
provided for the labs that will be held at
the BECON facility. The closest major
airport is in Des Moines, IA, about 30 miles
south of Ames. You can rent a car
there, or,
if you give us three days notice, we can
arrange to have you picked up at the airport
and delivered to your hotel. We have
reserved a block of rooms at the Country Inn
and Suites for the July and October
workshops. You can reserve a room by
calling (515) 233-3935 (Be sure to mention
you are with the Biodiesel group to get the
conference rate)
For the Moscow workshops:
Those within
driving distance will find the University
Inn on the west side of Moscow on the
Pullman Highway, the main East-West
thoroughfare through town.
Out-of-state attendees will probably want to
fly into Spokane, Washington, which is
located about 80 miles north of Moscow.
You can rent a car there or, if you give us
three days notice, we can arrange to have
you picked up at the airport and delivered
to your hotel. Closer airports can be
found in Lewiston, ID and Pullman, WA but
flights are limited to Boise and Seattle. We
have reserved a block of rooms at the
University Inn-Best Western in Moscow for
the March 2007 workshop. You can
reserve a room by calling them at (208)
882-0550 (Be sure to mention you are with
the Biodiesel group to get the conference
rate)
What is included with the class?
The class runs for five days starting at
7:30 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m.
Participants receive copies of all the
teaching materials and supplemental notes. A
continental breakfast and lunch
are provided. Refreshments will also be
provided for mid-morning and afternoon
breaks. Dinners are on your own although we
will facilitate groups meeting to network.
